Fairy Tales are not culture specific, their themes cross cultures and are found everywhere. That is because they are pictures of the human soul: every character, every image, every theme is intrinsically found within. We are the witch and the tricky spider, the princess and the wolf, we are all three brothers, the old King and the False Mother. Mostly, however, fairy tales are stories to guide us through hard times, strengthening us from within to meet whatever challenges we face.

Come join me then for a couple of my favorites. We’ll add some poetry and singing and make an evening of it. ~Joen

Joen Dealande’ is a mother, grandmother, poet, storyteller, teacher, speech artist, playwright (in no particular order.) Her greatest wish is to meet the world artistically and with humor. She fails a lot, and that’s what makes it interesting. And that’s why she likes fairy tales.
