Many of you enjoyed the lunches served at The Ark/The Commons over the years. There will be two seatings of dinner prepared by Lianna, the chef from the lunches you loved. We need an RSVP so we can plan. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org

(Mixed greens with a variety of seasonal local vegetables)

1- 5pm CHILDREN’S OUTDOOR GAMES & ACTIVITIES in the yard outside
Join in the fun created by Lissy & Ian to entertain all ages with stories, plays, bubble, face painting and more! Weather permitting, this will be in the east side yard (or in the building if necessary).
1-2pm Tai Chi for everyone with Monte in the Sky Movement Studio
Monte has been teaching Tai Chi and Breathing for many years and currently leads a group on Saturdays, noon-1. If you are interested in trying this healing and balancing modality come on in! You can participate or observe.
2-4pm Kids & Adults Dance Class with Mandy in the Sky Movement Studio
Mandy will be leading a kids group 2 – 2:30 and an adult group 2:45 – 3:45. Mandy is a local dance artist, a Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist, and Global Somatics™ Practitioner with a B.A. in Theatre/Dance from Luther College. The Commons is pleased to host her dance and movement groups periodically. Come and see how liberating and fun it can be!
4-5pm Eurythmy Movement for everyone with Joshua in the Sky Movement Studio
Eurythmy is movement and dance designed for expression and healing, created by Rudolf Steiner in the early 20th Century. Joshua will demonstrate and then lead a group in this beautiful and creative expression. Observers are welcome too. An ongoing eurythmy group meets on Friday evenings, 5-6.
2-4pm Music Exploratory – play instruments, have fun with Barry in the Music Room
Barry will have a variety of musical instruments available to play and have fun with a “looper” which will record riffs and play back. Kida and adults are welcome to experiment and learn more with Barry and others. Barry teaches music lessons in the Music Room.
6:30-7:30pm Live Music – South Street Band in the Theater
The local musicians who make up the South Street Band are ready for jumpin’ and jivin’! They play a cool mixture of jazz and standards that everyone can enjoy.
7:30-10pm – TBA and Live Jam! Bring your instrument and join the fun in the Theater
Our theater has GREAT acoustics and so many musicians love playing there! We host an Open Mic Night on the last Saturday of the month and many wonderful performers have entertained. Bring your guitar, drum, voice, banjo, mandolin, etc. to join in the JAM. There is a grand piano for you too!
