Thoreau College Saunter

WHEN: Friday December 18, 2020 4pm – 6pm

WHERE: The Commons outside yard

Thoreau College would like to extend a warm invitation to come and help celebrate the successful conclusion of the second Thoreau College Semester Program, on Friday, December 18, from 4-6 pm.  This will take place in the form of an outdoor “Saunter Through the Semester” – a walking tour of some of Thoreau College key sites in Viroqua.  Begin outside of the Commons at 401 E. Jefferson St., where there will be treats, music, and a brief overview of activities, then continue to one of the student residences at 315 S. East Ave., and end at Thoreau’s Garden, a new college enterprise, located in the Growing for Good greenhouses and retail space at 520 E. Terhune St.

2020 has been a time of incredible growth and development for Thoreau College, even as they faced the disruptions and challenges of this year.  For a summary of some of their achievements this year, come to the Saunter and if you want to know more, ask to see/receive the latest newsletter and annual report.  You can also hear recent conversations between Thoreau College Director Jacob Hundt and Sam Scinta and Dr. Richard Kyte on the Inspired Minds podcast here:
