Join us for a delightful evening of classical and Spanish guitar music with Gabor Szarvas, Matt Ackerman, and Dani Bocsi. These talented musicians have been performing in Madison and the surrounding area, and now they’re coming together for a special concert.
Last year, you might have enjoyed Gabor and Dani’s duo performances in different places. This summer, all three guitarists have teamed up to create a program featuring trios, duos, and solo pieces. Most of the pieces are their own arrangements, adding a personal touch to the music.
Come and enjoy the beautiful sounds of classical guitar in a warm and inviting atmosphere. We look forward to sharing this special event with you.

Gabor Szarvas graduated with a degree in guitar instruction and chamber music in Hungary in 2002. His teachers include some of Hungary’s most respected guitarists – David Pavlovits, Andrea Bozoki, Sandor Szilvagyi and Ede Roth.
In 2002 he won third prize in the Hungarian Guitar Competition of Music Colleges. As a student he toured Hungary, performing in several cities.
He started teaching in 1996 as a student himself. During the last 20 years, teaching hundreds of students, he developed a teaching style that is, according to his students and colleagues, both effective and fun.
He moved to Madison in February 2012 where he continues his career in classical guitar instruction and performance.
Dani Bosci is a biomedical engineering major who is active on the College’s swim team. He started guitar very young, as a student in the Suzuki method. His first concert this semester was a guitar duo presentation in which his former teacher, the Hungarian guitarist Gabor Szarvas, came out to join him from Madison, WI, their home town. They’d played their duo program several times already, so it was well-seasoned.
Matt Ackerman performs Classical, Celtic, and Flamenco guitar in the Madison area. He is also a member of the Madison Classical Guitar society
